Composite Decking Installation Using Millboard Weathered Oak

What a beauty of a project this turned out to be — easily one of our favourite builds to date.

We were approached by a client in Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, who wanted something truly special for their outdoor space: a high-spec summerhouse paired with a premium decking area leading down to their pond. The goal was to create a relaxing, stylish space that could be enjoyed all year round — and we think the end result speaks for itself.

Custom Summerhouse Design & Build

Every project we take on is bespoke, and this one was no exception. Our team worked closely with the client to design a summerhouse that perfectly complemented their garden and surroundings.

For the base, we installed a Duospan aluminium system, ensuring a strong, long-lasting foundation. This was combined with a high-quality timber framework to provide durability and structural integrity.

Externally, the building was finished with Millboard Shadow Line cladding, giving it a modern, clean aesthetic with the added benefit of low maintenance. Internally, the summerhouse was fully lined in timber, creating a warm and inviting space ideal for relaxing or entertaining.

Premium Composite Decking

To connect the summerhouse seamlessly with the garden and pond area, we installed a composite decking system using a composite subframe for maximum longevity.

The decking boards used were Millboard Weathered Oak in Embered, a premium choice that offers the natural look of timber without the upkeep. The rich tones and textured finish really elevate the overall look of the space while ensuring it remains slip-resistant and hard-wearing.
